a.live is a music-for-the-metaverse environment build on Web3. a.live is creating the next format for music consumption- MTV reimagined as immersive entertainment. a.live is a one of a kind immersive music platform of the future. a.live brings the metaverse to musicians and their 1,000 true fans. The interactive worlds allow fans to explore, experience and truly own music inside the musical worlds of their favorite artists.
As the world prepares itself for the metaverse and web3, a.live is ready to break new grounds in the music industry by creating a decentralised, interactive & immersive music community. Our task was to enhance the visual identity of a.live and design visual language across 2D & 3D environments.
The key challenges:
The idea of metaverse is new and breakthrough. While people are excited about the new web3 foundation that is being built. It is difficult to navigate through most brands. The emphasis on future and the ‘techiness’ leads to alienating the audience.
A lot of new web3 / nft startups tend to go in a very similar too literal futuristic direction. The reason is obvious they all want to look slickest and the next best thing in tech. The downside however is that all the brands start to look the same and nothing stands out.
Music is the broadest category one can design for. With near infinite genres, and endless ways to listen to music the category can be extremely personal or a social experience. The brand needs to be scalable enough to cater to all different categories as well as groups.
