Kagaz (https://kagaz.co) is built as a local-first web app. Your notes, boards, and related content are stored primarily in your browser using local storage (and related browser APIs). We do not run a traditional account system on our servers for core editing.
What stays on your device
By default, your workspace data remains on the device and profile where you use Kagaz. Clearing site data or uninstalling the browser profile may remove that data unless you have exported a backup or enabled optional cloud sync.
Optional Google Drive sync
If you choose to connect Google Drive, Kagaz may read and write application data to your Google account according to the permissions you grant in Google's OAuth flow. That processing is subject to Google's policies as well as your account settings. You can revoke access from your Google account security settings at any time.
Hosting and analytics
When you load Kagaz, your browser contacts our hosting provider to download the app (HTML, JavaScript, and assets). We may use lightweight, privacy-oriented analytics on the public site to understand traffic in aggregate. Analytics providers receive typical request metadata (such as approximate location derived from IP at a coarse level, depending on the provider) as part of normal web requests.
